Jeez… That rock dating method seems horribly unlikely. A half life of over 1 billion years? That’s not even measurable in a persons lifetime! Not saying anything other than that. Not arguing carbon dating, creation, theism, evolution… nothing. Just saying that the method of dating rocks is unbelievably improbable.

Actually, we know that ALL radioactive decay is constant. not only from measurements of the Oklo natural reactor, but also because physics demands it.
radioactive decay is caused by the energy boots given by quantum fluctuations, which are a constant for the whole universe. I can’t explain QM is 200 chars, but suffice to say that if quantum fluctuations were different in different materials, we’d have noticed by now. Or rather, we wouldn’t, because we wouldn’t be here.
